Magic Kingdom>> One More Disney Day for Free!:
Spend an extra night for free at either a Disneyland Resort Hotel or a Walt Disney World Resort hotel when you book a Room and Ticket Package for 3 nights or more, between February 26 and March 10, 2012. Purchase before January 31, 2012.
 
Animal Kingdom>> Africa>> Kilimanjaro Safari:
Walt Disney Imagineering will make some creative changes to the last scene in the attraction by removing the Audio-Animatronics “Little Red” elephant and related set pieces. This area will then be reconstructed as savannah space and feature a new watering hole for live animals.

This enhancement is scheduled to begin this spring, and be completed by fall 2012. And don’t worry, the attraction will remain operational during the adjustment.

Magic Kingdom>> Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom:
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, an interactive game that pits park-goers against Disney villains at several high-tech spots across the theme park. Guests 'officially' began playing on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
 
Magic Kingdom>> Fantasyland:
Snow White's Scary Adventures will closed forever at Magic Kingdom on May 31, Walt Disney World revealed on February 23rd. The Fantasyland attraction, which opened in the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971 will be replaced by a meet-and-greet area for Disney Princesses and guests called Princess Fairytale Hall.
 
Resorts>> Port Orleans Riverside:
The Royal Guest Rooms officially opened on March 10. They really immerse guests in beloved Disney tales full of princes and princesses. There is a lot to discover, from the art work and custom bedspreads to cool fixtures and glittering headboards. With more than 500 rooms now fit for royalty and getting a makeover with beautiful décor and majestic touches.

FYI, all the rooms at Port Orleans are undergoing a renovation that is set for completion in June 2012.

Epcot>> Future World>> Test Track:
Test Track closed on April 15 for a major re-imagination to the Chevrolet brand instead of the GM branding it has had since it opened in 1999. The project is expected to change a few of the ride elements along with the entire post show area of the GM Design Center. The rehab is schedule to be done sometime during the Fall of 2012.

The redesigned Test Track re-opened on December 6th.

Resorts>> Art of Animation:
May 31 marked the opening of the $350 million resort. The new hotel, which will have just under 2,000 rooms upon build out with the first phase of the hotel, themed to the Pixar film "Finding Nemo," includes 320 budget-priced suites with room for up to six people. A "Cars"-themed phase, with 480 suites, will open June 18 and a "Lion King" wing, with 320 suites, follows Aug. 10. The hotel's fourth and final phase — 864 conventional hotel rooms themed to "The Little Mermaid" — will open Sept. 15.

Resorts>> Bay Lake Tower:
Starting August 2012 Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort added check-in desk. Disney Vacation Club has created a new check-in desk to allow Members staying at Bay Lake Tower to check in at the Bay Lake Tower lobby. This convenient new service is available from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily until further notice as part of a commitment to the continuous improvement of the Member experience. Members arriving by Disney's Magical Express will continue to check-in next door at Disney's Contemporary Resort (where the Front Desk operates 24 hours a day). The check-in desk in the Bay Lake Tower lobby also provides a variety of services for all Bay Lake Tower Members and Guests to enjoy throughout their stay, including check-out, ticket sales, dining reservations, recreation and spa reservations, and more.
 
Magic Kingdom>> Fantasyland:
December 6 marked the opening of Phase II of the NEW Fantasyland with the opening of Ariel's Grotto, Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, Bonjour! Village Gifts, Gaston's Tavern, Be Our Guest Restaurant and Enchanted Tales with Belle. Construction continues on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
 
Magic Kingdom>> Fantasyland>> Storybook Circus:
Storybook Circus has been completed and became fully open to the public on October 4, 2012. The first stage was completed on March 12, 2012 ("The Barnstormer," the renovated Storybook Circus train station, and the first half of the new Dumbo ride). The second phase of Storybook Circus (the second half of Dumbo, the indoor queue area, and the Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station) opened in July 2012. The third and final phase (Pete's Silly Sideshow and Big Top Souvenirs) completed Storybook Circus on October 4, 2012.
 
Recreation>> Downtown Disney Westside>> Splitsville:
Splitsville opened on December 19 and is located at Downtown Disney's West Side in the old Virgin Megastore building. Splitsville is not your typical bowling alley. The 45,000 square foot venue features 30 lanes spread over two floors, as well as billiards, music and live entertainment.
