|Magic Kingdom>> Fantasyland:
Walt Disney World said Tuesday, January 18th that it will build a new indoor roller coaster in the Magic Kingdom, as part of its expansion of the Fantasyland section of the theme park. It will be a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs themed coaster. It was also rumored that the Snow White's Scary Adventures will be closed and turned in to a Princess Meet 'N Greet.

El Pirata Y El Perico Restaurante was rename Tortuga Tavern after it's latest rehab. Besides then name change and a few new props the menu remains unchanged when it re-opened in February 2011.
|Magic Kingdom>> Mickey's Toontown
Friday February 11 was the last go for Mickey's Toontown Fair as the area is being used for the 'NEW' Fantasyland Expansion. According to the Fantasyland design the only 2 things to remain are Goofy's Barnstormer (under a new name) and the Train station.
|Downtown Disney Marketplace>> Lego
Tuesday April 19th the Lego Imagination Center reopened with a lot of improvements that should make the shop more enjoyable for the guest. There are also new Lego Statues that guest can take photos with that include Maleficent in dragon form, Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Bambi and Thumper.
|Resorts>> Port Orleans Riverside:
Walt Disney World is converting some of its 25,000 hotel rooms into moderately priced, princess-themed rooms and high-end, "health-and-wellness" suites, in a bid to carve out new niches from within its existing hotels. Disney says it plans to transform about a quarter of the 2,000 rooms in the "Riverside" section of Disney's Port Orleans Resort into "Royal Rooms." Disney says the 512 Royal Rooms will open to guests in February or March of 2012.
|Resorts>> Contemporary Resort:
Disney says it will convert the entire 14th floor of that hotel to a health-and-wellness theme, complete with a private yoga studio, custom-designed menus, and concierge services. Beginning with 23 in Disney's Contemporary Resort that will be refurbished to attract health-conscious travelers. The rooms themselves will be outfitted with amenities such as bamboo floors, low-allergen pillows and mattresses, exercise equipment and massage tables. Disney says it expects the suites to open by November 2011.

Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management):
During the rehab due to a small fire on January 12, 2011. Disney has announced the the Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management will be going back to its 1963 roots when it reopens later this year as the Enchanted Tiki Room it is already undergoing changes behind closed doors that will reshape the attraction into a version reminiscent of the original show.
|Resorts>> Grand Floridian Resort
Is closing the spa for 18 months as the company embarks on an expansion project at the hotel. The spa the Grand Floridian Resort will shut down Sept. 19. No details have been announced but there has been speculation the building to be constructed next to the spa will contain units to be sold by Disney Vacation Club
On August 12 the announced that Monorail Peach would be joining the fleet soon to bring the total number of monorails in service back to 12
|Resorts>> Golden Oak>> Four
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said on September 13th it has secured financing for a $360 million luxury resort at Walt Disney World and will begin construction of the long-planned project in December. The 444-room hotel, which will include a rooftop restaurant with views of the Magic Kingdom and a "lazy river" water feature, among other amenities, is expected to open in mid- or late 2014. The project will also include as many as 40 Four Seasons time-share units and up to 90 Four Seasons private residences

On October 26 Disney will be hold reservations at 19 of the most popular restaurants with a credit card. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance your credit card will be charged $10 per person ($50 for a party of 5)
|Recreation>> ESPN Wide World
On November 29 the Walt Disney World Resort said it would add 25 acres to the 270 acre Wide World of Sports complex. The new fields will be used for football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey. The expansion will also included more lights, digital video boards and audio systems. The upgrades and expansion are schedule to be finished in early 2012

Disney Vacation Club:
The Disney Vacation Development announce on December 8th it will build an addition to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the highest-priced company-owned hotel at Walt Disney World. The project, which will add approximately 147 time-share units in a separate building next to the posh hotel, is the first new Disney Vacation Club resort to begin construction since the global financial crisis sent sales tumbling across the time-share industry. Disney said the resort is expected to open in late 2013. The new building will be exclusively time-share units and will include a children's water-play area, among other amenities.
