  Animal Kingdom: Asia - April 7, the legend of the ferocious yeti dramatically roared to life today at Walt Disney World Resort with the official opening of Expedition Everest, a runaway train adventure that combines coaster-like thrills with the excitement of a close encounter of the hairy kind.

Magic Kingdom: Adventureland - Pirates of the Caribbean reopens after several months of renovations. The renovation includes characters from the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Walt Disney World Resort - Disney launches its Year of a Million Dreams celebration on October 1 with new attractions and live entertainment, as well as the "Disney Dreams Giveaway" promotion.
