- Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland-Carousel of Progress
- The Carousel of Progress, first presented by Walt Disney at the 1964-65
World's Fair in New York City, was moved to Walt Disney World from Disneyland
and opened in 1975 in Tomorrowland. The original theme song of the show,
There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, was replaced with a new tune,
Now is the Best Time of Your Life.
Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland-Circle-Vision 360
- In 1975 an updated version of Circle-Vision 360's debut film America
the Beautiful replaced Magic Carpet 'Round the World, which opened
just last year.
Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland--Mission to Mars
- Mission to Mars finally replaced Flight to the Moon in 1975--six
years after man actually landed on the moon!
Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland--WEDway People Mover
- The WEDway People Mover, which opened July 1, 1975, provides
a futuristic way of shuttling people all around Tomorrowland.
Recreation: Disney Village Marketplace
- This area of shops along the shores of Lake Buena Vista provided
the first non-park shopping at Walt Disney World. It originally opened on
March 22,1975 as Lake Buena Vista Village and was subsequently renamed Walt
Disney World Village before being re-christened as the more familiar Disney
Village Marketplace.
Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland-Space Mountain
- Space Mountain, Walt Disney World's first roller coaster/thrill ride,
opened on January 15, 1975 in Tomorrowland. The "mountain" soars 175 feet
high and houses two coaster tracks that operate in the dark. The rockets hurl
riders through space amid projections of stars and planets
